How to read a supplement label
Supplement packs carry a lot of information in a small space. Knowing where to look makes it easier to compare products.

Start with the serving size. Every figure in the nutrition table is given per serving, so two products with different serving sizes cannot be compared directly. Divide by the serving size, or compare the amounts per 100 g where the label gives them.
Next, read the ingredient list. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few items make up most of the product. Allergens such as milk and soy are usually highlighted.
Finally, check the storage instructions and the best-before date, and keep the pack closed between uses.
